this is the latest art ever
I had these masks planned for months now, and the sketches finished just as long, but reasons and stuff meant that I couldn't actually be there for the Hallow's Eve events. I'm so sad to have missed out! I hope everyone had a fantastic and spooky time regardless.

I went with the mask theme again so here's some explanation:

Kuo's is based on his near death experience. The break in the skull is where he was shot and the blue rose blooming from the eye is to represent his subsequent colour-blindness. The information isn't new, but it still hurts to think back on it.

Carrik's is a moth featuring eyespots. Such moths are very plain but beautiful in their own way. The mimicry they try to achieve with their eyespots is a form of protection from that which would harm them. Much like his first mask, this is about false smiles. However as an upgrade to last year this mask is only covering half of his face so that his true smile might be seen. Carrik likes to think this mask is simply about his curiosity in everything, even the mundane.

Kiyoko's is the mask of a beautiful woman. Her eyes are closed and her lips are stitched shut to show complete obedience. Despite it's rather simple design Kiyo thinks that it looks like her mother's face; the embodiment of exactly the type of woman she never wants to become. it's ironic.

I'm sorry for the terrible bg as well

Yuufee, there are amazing! I love how thoughtful they are! I would have made daryl's like.. a ghostly banana face or something

Ahh, as far as a favorite, I'm torn between Carrik's and Kuo's. (Kiyo's is a lovely kind of eerie, but I think It would scare me in real life!)

Wonderful work as always~
